Simple juicing steps to better health

Apples, carrots, celery and ginger. These four ingredients are the base of any juices I make in my Breville juicer.
This is not a scientific study; nor is it taken from any health journals. This is my experience with juicing.
I was lucky enough to be bought a juice machine a couple of years ago by him-indoors and my youngest son. Yes, I did mention that I might buy one as we passed it in the shop, and when him-indoors told me not to worry I kind of picked up on the hint! Christmas present from them both!

So this is my, short, story on what juicing does for me:
– Instantly I have an alertness; a skip in my step and I feel invigorated
– Juice is very filling, so I can have a few throughout the day and not feel hungry – great for weight loss plus no hunger pangs
– The hot flushes of my age group just seemed to disappear after just a couple of months,and touch wood haven’t returned.

The book I bought is called:
Raw Juices can save your life says Sandra Cabot MD.
It is the A-Z guide to juicing and covers all sorts of ailments including, Asthma, Anemia, Blood pressure, Constipation, Insomnia – the list goes on and on!

My current favourite is:
beetroot (raw), ginger, celery, carrots, capsicum, apples (not too many), and spinach. The colour is red and it has quite an earthy taste and I love it! I pour it into a large glass and drink it down. They say to make it fresh each day, but like most people, I am time-poor so I make mine last a couple of days. It’s yum!
